Making A Difference: Announcing PledgeONE and Launch


At SuccessCOACHING, we believe education can be a catalyst for positive change, which is why we’re pleased to announce that announce that SuccessHACKER (our parent company) has joined Pledge 1% — committing to donating 1% of our time and product to the global workforce development and Customer Success community.

The Pledge 1% organization is a philanthropic movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. Founded in 2014 by Salesforce, Atlassian and Rally, the Pledge 1% organization has over 8,500 members across 100 countries, all focused on helping improve communities around the world.

While I’m proud that SuccessCOACHING’s training programs have already helped so many individuals and organizations around the world improve their knowledge of Customer Success, I believed we could always do more.

Only when we began to focus a more significant portion of our efforts on helping people get their first jobs in Customer Success did it feel like we were on the right track.

Since then, we’ve expanded our focus to include helping Workforce Development organizations  develop and provide Customer Success Manager career training for the long-term unemployed and individuals returning to the job market. We’ve also worked with the University of San Francisco to educate and certify the next generation of graduates from their Customer Success MBA program.

Through these experiences, we have come to understand that while the Customer Success job market is growing steadily, not everyone has equal access to opportunities and many don’t have the support they need to launch a career in the Customer Success industry. Today, in our ongoing effort to help overcome those challenges, we’re pleased to announce the launch of two new programs: PledgeONE and Launch.


PledgeOne is how we’re putting our Pledge 1% commitment into action. With PledgeONE, we’re creating a network of workforce development organizations, academic institutions and nonprofits that work to close the opportunity gap for tech jobs.

We accomplish this by offering assistance and guidance to organizations that are developing programs that help job seekers pursue a career in Customer Success. In addition to this, we will be providing each PledgeONE partner with access to our industry-leading Customer Success training and certification program at no charge.

Joining Pledge 1% and creating the PledgeONE program was a clear choice for us, as it aligned with our ongoing mission. Through this decision, we hope to remove the barriers to accessing vocational training that often prevent people from taking that crucial first step toward starting a career in Customer Success.


Long-term or returning job seekers are not the only ones who face challenges in starting careers in Customer Success — not every organization has the budget or the bandwidth to train their CSMs, and many individual CSMs don’t have access to the opportunities they might otherwise want. SuccessCOACHING’s Launch program aims to remove that barrier by giving individuals and teams access to a proven Customer Success training and certification learning path at a price-point that fits almost any budget.

All Launch program plans include unlimited access to our flagship Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1 curriculum in a self-guided, online format that enables participants to learn and get certified at their own pace. Launch subscribers will be able to access the same curriculum taught in our workshops and utilized in our premier programs at a fraction of the cost.

Best of all, every purchase of a Launch subscription will power the PledgeONE program. Starting today, for every Launch subscription purchased, a matching subscription will be given to a PledgeONE partner.
